Looking out for organic and sustainable products – Go Native
We found a perfect store which screams out Organic and Sustainability. From handmade soaps to organic clothes with a touch of vintage, its a splatter of things with an In-house vegetarian cafe having an explicit menu featuring some of the mouth-watering dishes.
We live in a connected world. The way we live, what we eat, what we wear and how we have fun impacts our health, our environment and the community we live in.
Whichever way we choose to live our lives we have to respect people and the planet. At Go Native, we want to share with you the pleasures of sustainable living
We found this place like it is undiscovered by many, like something rare but our immediate feeling after entering the place was we are back to nature. The feeling when you go to Kerala or Coorg. Go Native, is covered with trees and it’s in the perfect location of the city Bangalore, at Jayanagar 4th block.
Go Native Farm-to-Table offers pesticide-free, locally produced food and homemade condiments and our lifestyle store houses a lovely collection of handwoven cotton and linens, up-cycled and handcrafted furniture and accessories, eco-friendly lights, handmade soaps and organic oils, books and craft for children, pop-up stores and more. They even have s dedicated yoga and fitness studio and poetry workshops on the weekend.
We went around the place and fell in love with each and every element of the store as it was raw and the store employee gave told us, they give 70% share of the product to the local makers and most of the companies who they are associated with are NGO organisations.
Their goal is to promote:
They source supplies from local farms around Bangalore that practice environmentally sound farming and fair trade and grow seasonal, non-GMO, pesticide-free veggies and grains.
Supporting Native Skills
All the products in the store are from designers and NGOs that share our belief in supporting traditional and native art and craft skills and livelihoods.
They trade with organisations that ensure farmers and artisans are paid fair wages that sustain their livelihoods and secure their futures.
Planet Positive Building
Go Native’s building is a redesigned old house. In our renovations, we have up-cycled as much as we could from the old building.
They use a solar back up power, we harvest rainwater, compost our kitchen waste and are committed to reducing plastic.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
They are committed to reducing the use of plastic. They reuse and recycle what. They can and responsibly dispose of our refuse and waste.
