She kept it classy and chic by accessorizing with ruby and diamond earrings. Her disco ball-inspired clutch was one of an appeal.     EMILY BLUNT “The Mary Poppins returns” actress Emily Blunt dazzled the golden globe red carpet in a head to toe lace dress by Alexander Mcqueen. Her elegant look was adorned by minimal accessories and muted makeup.     CONSTANCE WU and GEMMA CHAN The cast of “CRAZY RISH ASIANS” stole the red carpet. Constance Wu wore a Vera Wang nude spaghetti strap gown, with its sheer corset bodice and an orange velvet ribbon. Whereas, Gemma Chan chose a deep teal halter neck dress from the Valentino Couture Collection. The dress opened at the waist to reveal a pair of thigh length shorts underneath. The back of the dress had a large feminine bow.  To keep it chic and elegant, Chan opted for a bold red lip and a messy bun.     GENINA KING A double nominee of the evening wore a sparkly Alberta Ferretti down which looked breath-taking and completely pulled off the glamorous look.     TIMOTHEE CHALAMET The young rising actor looked dashing wearing a complete black Louis Vuitton outfit with a sequined harness.     SAOIRSE RONAN The actress wore a beaded Gucci gown with a plunging neckline and carried it with ease and class. The Chopard jewellery and crystal embroidery added a level of sophistication to the look.     LUPITA NYONG’O She had her signature high-low moment wearing a Calvin Klein electric blue fringe dress and styling it with a $45 LADO platform heels.     CHARLIZE THERON The 43-year-old actress stole the red carpet with a classy Dior haute couture dress.  She paired it with Bulgarian jewellery.    

Designer in Focus – Ohaila Khan Young, well-traveled, rooted in fashion and Mumbai based designer Ohaila Khan, alumni of the London College of Fashion specializes in Indian and European collection. Her strengths lie in embroidery and classic cuts, which have been incorporated in all her collections. Daughter of Tanveer Khan, who has a fashion export house and caters to some well-known couture brands, Ohaila’s interest in fashion was shaped since a young age. However, she did not rest on the laurels of her father to carve a path for herself. Khan went to work with some famous fashion houses in London, Paris, Milan and New York post which she came down to India and worked with ace designer Manish Malhotra as an Assistant Designer. India Beach Fashion Week Goa 2018 : Day 1 Highlights Goa is the ultimate destination for beach, holidays and to have a peaceful time, and there could not have been a better place to host the India Beach Fashion Week. Its sixth edition gave the audience a one of a kind fashion experience on the 14th and 15th November at Goa Marriott Resort and Spa. Designers like Anupama Dayal, Arun Ahuja, Ken Ferns, Farah Ansari, Esha Amin, the craft corridor, Como Collective, S-9 fashion, trends solution, Asif merchant, Ripci Bhatia, Gabriella Demetriades, Marks and Spencer, Nikita Mangeshkar, Ohaila khan, and others presented their best of the garments in line. With designers showcasing their collections, IBFW season 6 also featured innovative displays, beach-side shopping, and networking sessions. Paying an ode to the LGBTQ Community and with the eradication of section 377, the day one commenced with Anupama Dayal’s resort wear called EQUAL LOVE. The collection was filled with lots of colors, prints, drama and of course Love. “We all live in a country where now we can express ourselves truly. The collection EQUAL LOVE is a tribute to that,” said Anupama Dayal. The show continued with Ohaila khan’s destination wedding collection with a resort couture sensibility. Appearing first time at India Beach Fashion Week, couturier Ohaila Khan brought back the trend of ruffles, frills, and tiers. Actor Swara Bhaskar graced the runway wearing a custom embellished outfit from her ‘Chantrealle’ collection. Adding to the Amazing lineup, Marks and Spencer came up with their latest beach collection. It featured lingerie, swimsuits, and capes to give a perfect holiday mood to everyone. Gabriella Demetriades, a model, designer and an actress from South Africa too showcased her collection inspired by the diversity and freedom. Whereas Esha Amin’s collection titled ‘Tropical Tales’ took us to an adventurous side. Her rich flowy fabrics, vibrant floral-leaf prints and choice of colors is any day a girl’s dream to wear on an island. Showstopper Gauhar khan looked drop-dead gorgeous wearing a tropical print gown with a high thigh slit. Mehraab a label put up together by designers Arun Ahuja and John Marya showcased some of their luxurious wedding wear collections for the first time in IBFW. Rohit Khandelwal, Mr. India 2015 walked down the runway wearing rich embroidered kurta from Mehraab. The day one ended with the most awaited show by The Como Collective presenting the series of brands and designers like Brindisi, Gavin Miquel, Nidhi Munin, Megha Garg, Mohammed Mazhar, and the natty garb. Because, aside from being one of the biggest French houses, Karl Lagerfeld always takes his runways one step further with his breathtaking sets—and spring/summer ’19 was no exception. Karl Lagerfeld ensured that summer stuck around a bit longer. This time, a beach was recreated that included an ocean with gentle waves, blue sky, wooden docks, and lifeguards. And also it was a cheeky stroke of humour to have former “Baywatch” star Pamela Anderson settled into the front row, along with Pharrell Williams- house ambassador of Chanel. The models sprung up and paraded along the beach. Luna Bijl opened the show wearing an emblematic look of collection and also with two bags crossing on each hip for a new way of being worn. The beach theme went on to include straw hats with wide brims, a bag shaped like a beach ball and carried their shoes in their hands. However, Chanel did not forget its signature style. Models wore colorful tweed skirt-suits and some carried several handbags at once and then the iconic logo and accessories. Much of which will appeal most of 80 s Chanel. The ambit/palette was dominated by pastels. The message was that Chanel can be part of an easygoing lifestyle. This was a pretty Chanel collection, mostly because of simplicity.
