Roop Pratap Choudhary, Managing Director, Noor Mahal and Jewel Group of Hotels shares his happiness on resuming operations after the national lockdown…
We welcome the government’s move to allow hospitality services to resume operations from June 8 after a long extended nationwide lockdown. At Noor Mahal we are fully equipped and excited to welcome our guests with high standard safety, hygiene and touchless hospitality services in the new world order.
With new standards of operating procedures in place, we are committed to deliver safe and exceptional experiences to our guests. We have taken all the necessary preventive measures like protection shields on front desk, thermal screening at entry guests, compulsory masks for guests and staff, restricted entries to common areas such as restaurants, spa and salon, kid’s area and lobby areas to ensure social distancing as promoted by the government. We have strengthened our housekeeping wing with protective gears and high quality sanitisers. Our housekeeping staff is well trained to pay special attention to Guest rooms hygiene post guest departure and before the arrival of the next guest. The staff is frequently disinfecting all the key hand touchpoints in guest rooms, public spaces and office staff areas so as to ensure safe and memorable stay. We have also provided mock training to our hotel staff to face the challenges of meeting suspected corona positive guests to ensure safety of the other guests staying at the hotel. The Hotel staff will also be checked for temperature twice a day with compulsory usage of hand sanitisers, masks and hand gloves. We will be operational with reduced banqueting capacities to fulfil the norms established by the government, electronic check-ins and check outs with contactless payment handling.
Short distance tours are going to be in demand as travellers will prefer to visit nearby destinations during weekends and holidays. Being the most preferred royal staycation destination for travellers in Delhi/NCR, Punjab and Haryana, we have created innovative and exclusive packages for travellers to cater this emerging demand for short distance tours and stays. We are expecting to witness the green shoots from the leisure travellers post unlocking, however, international travellers might take a couple of months to resume their travelling plans.
