If you were to try and picture the interiors of the Taj Krishna based on just its name, perhaps you would imagine temple inspired columns, paintings of Lord Krishna. The truth is, the interiors of Taj Krishna Hyderabad have nothing to do with Krishna the deity. The “Krishna” is actually taken from Krishna Oberoi – the face of the early years of the property.
Interiors and Theme
As you step into the Taj Krishna, you’re greeted by an opulent fountain, which in history has been a depiction of prosperity and elegance. The lobby features high ceilings, polished marble floors and decorated walls with muted gold accents. Large chandeliers bring a classic grandeur without overwhelming the environment, fresh flower arrangements add a welcoming touch. The theme is sophisticated with a touch of warmth, a mix of charming victorian heritage and contemporary taste. The rich display of fine taste makes it popular among the international, business-oriented audience.There is a vast variety of artisanal paintings on each floor and at every corner.
History of Taj Krishna
The Taj Krishna has been many things since it was built in the early 1980’s but for the past 40 years it has stood as one of the landmark luxury properties in Hyderabad. Beyond its iconic image and pedigree, the hotel has hosted dignitaries, celebrities, and world’s most important business people for multiple generations. While the building and its services have become modernized with renovations, its reputation for hospitality has been retained under the Taj brand, and it remains among the luxury hotel offerings in the burgeoning hotel scene of Hyderabad.
Hospitality, Incredibly Impeccable
The hotel has expansive lawns, which are always popular for weddings and events, an inviting outdoor swimming pool for guests to enjoy. A well-stocked fitness center and spa that let’s you unwind. There are multiple banquet halls for corporate events. The staff leave a lasting impression by their welcoming and attentive nature, in every interaction. They genuinely care and add a personalised touch to every request. Business travelers appreciate the efficient access to corporate centers and attractions offered by the central location in Banjara Hills.
Food – Breakfast in Particular
All the food offered at the Taj Krishna is exceptional; however, even if the rest of the property’s services didn’t rate so highly, breakfast alone warrants a stay. An exciting array of breakfast dishes, with freshly baked breads, South Indian staples of idlis and dosas, an omelette station, fresh honey, variety of fresh juices and detox water options, muesli and breakfast celerals and continental breakfast offerings. The focus was on local and international food. The breakfast service was attentive without being intrusive. A special shoutout to the special eggless french toast, made by the chef, on request, proves the extra efforts made for the guests. The toast was soft, chocolatey and packed with flavour. Lunch and dinner service in the hotel’s restaurants range from Hyderabadi biryani to global fine dining cuisine, but the breakfast service is with some freshly prepared food, generous portions, and excellent flavor – it is as simple as that.
Overall Experience
Taj Krishna Hyderabad brings the trio of location, service and comfort together with a side of history. The hotel doesn’t provide a themed Krishna experience, but rather a sophisticated interior, good lineage and good enough dining to make it memorable. Whether you are here for business, holiday, or a luxury weekend away, this is a stay that checks all the boxes while keeping it simply sophisticated.Though the booking is a challenge since it is a very busy property however, if you get a change to experience it, do give it a try.
