Bengaluru, July 24, 2025 – For the past few years, TheStyle.World has had the privilege of being at the forefront of celebrating creativity that disrupts the norm and voices that redefine the future. It was thus an absolute honour to be the Creative Styling Partner for the JD Design Awards 2025, one of the most looked forward to and impactful design events in the country.
Held at the ultra-trendy and classy The Den, Bengaluru, this year’s JD Design Awards was a bold statement of what the Indian fashion and jewellery of the future can be. Hosted by JD School of Design, backed by JD Institute of Fashion Technology, the awards saw India’s future design stars take centre stage and redefine the limits of creativity. And redefined they did — with bold innovation, narrative, and socially responsible creativity.

As Creative Styling Partner, our contribution was about realising the vision of the designer, that every collection would not only be styled for the catwalk, but also for consequence. Each outfit was thoughtfully crafted with purpose — from the styling narratives conceptualised to the last detail backstage. Hand-in-hand with designers and teams, we created each piece not merely worn, but conveyed.
JD Design Awards 2025 took place over two engaging showcases. The afternoon show began with fashion and jewellery collections that married art and sustainability, as well as deeply personal stories. The evening show took the energy to the next level, featuring adventurous experiments in silhouette, concept, and emotion. Throughout the two shows, 37 distinctive collections strutted their stuff on the catwalk — each a snapshot of young creatives willing to shatter conventions and defy norms.

Most striking was the level of thinking that went into every piece. Certain collections transformed the catwalk into an oceanic fantasy, garments crafted with inclusivity in mind — including visually impaired children’s fashion — and clothing based on zero gravity and sci-fi work attire. There was also substantial representation of conscious design, from street-inspired activewear for the new-age, present-aware mover. The ornaments on show recounted histories every bit as engaging, mixing heritage with innovation, recollection with substance.
This wonderful occasion would not have been possible without the teamwork of its partners. We offer our sincerest appreciation to The Den, Whitefield, Hospitality and Venue Partner, for offering a venue so ideally suited to the artistic splendour of the exhibition. Our heartfelt thanks also to Lakmé Academy, the Makeup Partner, whose skills brought each look alive with accuracy and panache. And to the JD Institute and the JD School of Design team, thank you for letting TheStyle.World features creative direction and styling as the highlight of such a special platform.

The JD Design Awards 2025 was not just an exhibition of student work — it was a statement. As eloquently expressed by Mr. Nealesh Dalal, Managing Trustee of JD Educational Trust, “Fashion and jewellery design today go far beyond surface aesthetics — they embody self-expression, cultural storytelling, and social responsibility.” His sentiments contained the very essence of what this platform is all about: a place where purpose and creativity meet, and where design is a conversation.
As the claps rang out and the lights went down, one thing was certain — the future of Indian fashion lies in the fearless, talented, and thoughtful hands of these new designers. We are honoured at TheStyle.World to have been a part of this journey, contributing our creative styling to a presentation that was both classic and contemporary. These new designers aren’t simply creating clothing and jewellery — they are creating the future. And we’re here for it.
