Raw Mango’s “Garland” Collection: A Symphony Of Tradition and Modernity

Raw Mango’s “Garland” Collection: A Symphony Of Tradition and Modernity

Raw Mango, a name that has been celebrated in the pantheon of Indian textiles and couture, has finally unveiled its latest collection—Garland. This much-awaited festive collection takes its inspiration much from the cultural, symbolic significance that garlands have in Indian traditions. Here, founder Sanjay Garg envisions garlands as more than ornamentation-they are a representation of joy, bonding, and blessings-and have a very deep history with Indian celebrations. Raw Mango’s “Garland” Collection: The Garland collection brings out these emotions into exquisite range garments made of luxurious brocade with intricate zardosi embroidery. Signature colors are gulkand rani, rose pink; mogra white; and the deep green of raw mango leaves that are reflected in the beauty of flowers and nature. All these elements come together to blend into a perfect harmony for creating elegant and comfortable outfits.   One of the most refreshing aspects of the campaign is its approach to narrative. Instead of the usual gaudy portrayals of weddings, Garland goes for realism. The campaign is shot inside a South Delhi home, capturing intimate moments of a wedding: familial disputes, laughter, drunken revelry, and reconciliation. With non-professional actors, the campaign presents an authentic celebration, showing the complexities of modern weddings, where generational clashes over traditions and scale are prevalent. The bride of the campaign is dressed in a beautiful green lehenga in Varanasi silk brocade. The blouse and the odhani completing the look are in zardosi work. This look gives balance between tradition and modernity for a new narrative in bridal fashion. There are regional Indian rituals also forming a part of this collection, like the Kanhaiya Dangal, adding more cultural depth to its storyline.     Beyond being a festive collection, Raw Mango’s Garland collection has been a tribute to the essence of Indian aesthetics and evolving wedding sensibilities. The collection is now available in all Raw Mango stores priced between ₹12,800 and ₹3,95,000. With the release, Raw Mango again redefines Indian fashion that honors heritage and modernizes through narratives.   For those who want to make a statement this festive season, here’s a perfect combination of cultural richness and modern elegance-the garland.
