Step into a world of creativity and imagination at the Summer Camp – Act at MAP. Designed for budding thespians aged 10 to 14, this immersive five-day experience offers a unique blend of exploration, and performance against the MAP backdrop. This workshop isn’t just about learning lines and striking poses; it’s a journey of self-discovery and artistic expression. Guided by Lekha Naidu, a Bangalore-based theatre practitioner, participants will delve into the depths of our museum, drawing inspiration from the art and artefacts. Through engaging activities and group interactions, they’ll hone critical thinking, imagination, and emotional intelligence while fostering teamwork and communication skills.

Mini Mobile Movies 

Experience the magic of filmmaking at summer at MAP – Mini Mobile Movies! Delve into a transformative six-day journey where participants uncover the intricacies of storytelling and cinematic creation. Through hands-on exercises and genre exploration, budding filmmakers collaborate with fellow enthusiasts to breathe life into their creative visions. No fancy equipment is required—just bring your enthusiasm and a mobile phone, and Ridah Zaman, a Bangalore-based filmmaker, will guide you through the rest. From brainstorming ideas to capturing scenes and editing footage, you’ll gain practical skills and insights into the art of filmmaking. Some points to note: This is part of MAP’s Summer at MAP programme. Both are paid activities that are priced at INR 1000 per participant, per programme.

A Walk in the Park

What stories emerge from behind your lens? What do the images we choose to capture tell us about ourselves? Join us for a guided photography walk through Cubbon Park with Priyadarshini Ravichandran to explore and create your own images; learn all about the subtle art of perspective and framing; the joy of making things yourself; and how to read your photographs as you develop your own visual language. Designed to cultivate interests in photography alongside developing the basic technical skills required, this experience is open to individuals aged 16–20.
