Plente, Indiranagar: Where Vegetarian Dining Gets a Thoughtful, Global Makeover

Bengaluru’s food scene is no stranger to innovation, but every once in a while, a space opens that quietly shifts expectations. Reviewed by TheStyle.World team, Plente, the city’s newest artisanal vegetarian dining destination in Indiranagar, does exactly that—without theatrics, without overcomplication, and without trying too hard to impress.

From the moment you walk in, Plente feels like a place designed for unhurried meals. The ambience encourages slow dining—warm, understated, and welcoming—setting the tone for what the kitchen delivers: food that lets ingredients speak for themselves.

At Plente, vegetarian cuisine isn’t treated as a compromise or a category—it’s the star. The menu reflects an ingredient-first philosophy, drawing inspiration from European, Continental, Indian, and Asian kitchens, while remaining deeply respectful of natural flavours.

Behind the kitchen is the culinary talent of Chef Stefan, who trained with Michelin stars as well as had Caribbean experiences, and exposure to the produce of India. But what he does at Plente is mix techniques with moderation, innovative cuisine with restraint, as he shows the possibility of global cuisine with local inputs.

But it’s the ability to take even the most humble of ingredients and turn them into something extraordinary that makes Plente truly shine. Case in point is the Jalapeño Cheddar Corn Salad: pure comfort in a bowl with sweet corn kernels mixed with sharp cheddar and a hint of jalapeño, in a perfect harmony of comfort and freshness. The mushroom risotto is very slowly cooked and rich and creamy, with earthy mushrooms adding a flavorful and warm touch to it.

The salads, like the Orange Salad and the Watermelon Salad, are very refreshing and come with a beautiful pop of colour, making it the perfect choice for the beginning of the meal.

One of our favourites was the Roasted Butternut Squash with Pomegranate Molasses—sweet, caramelised squash offset by the tangy richness of molasses, creating a dish that feels both comforting and elegant. The Sticky Noodles bring bold Asian flavours to the table, offering a glossy, flavour-packed, and immensely satisfying experience.

For small plates, a special mention goes to the Zucchini Fritters: they are crunchy on the exterior and fluffy on the inside, so well-seasoned that each bite can be enjoyed as is. Another crowd-pleasing item is the Falayer, or Plente’s version of Middle Eastern-inspired.

The menu of drinks reflects the culinary innovation of the kitchen. The Dragon Sour Mocktail offers a strong punch, and the Fruit, Basil & Kiwi Mocktail is very refreshing and aromatic. These are what Bengaluru needs in the afternoons.

Each of these dishes reinforces Plente’s philosophy: vegetarian food that is ingredient-forward, globally inspired, and deeply satisfying—without ever feeling predictable.

Desserts here aren’t an afterthought; they’re a continuation of the story. Peach Exotica, with slow-poached peaches, caramel-infused cream, and crunchy butterscotch, is delicate and indulgent in equal measure. The French Caramel Cheesecake, topped with a rich cherry compote, offers a classic finish done just right.

Plente doesn’t try to redefine vegetarian dining with gimmicks. Instead, it elevates it through care, craft, and clarity of thought. It’s a place for conscious eaters, curious diners, and anyone who believes that a well-cooked vegetarian meal can be just as exciting, indulgent, and memorable as any other.

If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s refined yet relaxed, global yet grounded, Plente is well worth a visit.
