This March, we decided to visit Madras Kitchen at Marriott Executive Apartments Bengaluru UB City to experience their “Grain to Griddle: A Dosa Festival,” happening till 22nd March 2026, and what we found was not just a meal, but a celebration of one of South India’s most popular dishes, done with not just a sense of nostalgia, but creativity as well.

Right from the time we entered, the experience was welcoming, and the live dosa counters were something that caught our eye, giving the meal a sense of drama. There is something special about watching chefs prepare dosas with such precision, swirling the dosa batter on a hot griddle, creating perfect dosas in no time.

The Taste of South Indian Classics

When it came to the classics, there was no disappointment, and you could tell why these were classics by just tasting them. Masala Dosa was a winner all the way.The Ghee Roast was decadent, while the Paper Dosa was the drama queen of the table. With the accompaniment of the chutneys and the Sambar, it’s easy to see why this dish has stood the test of time through the generations.
