Google Marks The 50 Years OfLGBTQ+ Movement Within A Doodle
Yes, that’s right. Google celebrated the 50 years of Pride by dedicating a doodle to the online world on Tuesday. The doodle presents the journey of LGBTQ+ communityfrom 1969 to the present underlining how the LGBTQ+ movement gained momentum and grew in size over in the last five decades.
Google stated that “The Pride Parade is a symbol of celebration and liberation for the entire LGBTQ+ community. From its early days of activism on Christopher Street in New York City to the worldwide celebrations of today, it has empowered and given voice to a bright and vibrant community,”
The Internet Is Cheering For This Sikh Man Who Is Wearing LGBTQ Pride On His Turban
This is Jiwandeep Kohli, a Sikh neuroscientist from San Diego who identifies as bisexual openly posted an image of himself wearing a rainbow-hued pagri and wrote: “I’m proud to be a bisexual bearded baking brain scientist. I feel fortunate to be able to express all these aspects of my identity, and will continue to work toward ensuring the same freedom for others.”
The picture which represents a Sikh queer man on social mediagot 20,000 likes and was shared widely on both Twitter and Instagram within few hours.
Times out and Proud – It’s Time to Give Them a Space in Your Heart
After the September 2018 Supreme Court verdict that is favorable for the LGBTQ+ community, Times of India started a campaign called #TimesOutAndProudwhich believes that sexual orientation and gender identities should not decide the stature of a person in society.
The campaign is a hope to change the mindset of the people’s perception towards the LGBTQIA+ community. The campaign film launched on the Times of India’s digital platform which narrated the story of people from the LGBTQ community and their families and Times of India provide a place for the LGBTQ+ community in their classified columns.

Dutee Chand – India’s First Openly Gay Athlete
There is great news from India about the Indian Sprinter Dutee Chand openly talked about the same-sex relationship with women from her village in eastern Odisha state. Dutee Chand now became the first openly gay athlete in the country. The 23-year-old Dutee Chand told that she got the courage to come out only after the Supreme Court verdict favorable for the LGBTQ+ community.
Dutee Chand stated that “I have found someone who is my soul mate. I believe everyone should have the freedom to be with whomever they decide they want to be with”. She also added that “I believe everyone should have the freedom to be with whomever they decide they want to be with”.
Jared Polis Is The Nation’s First Openly Gay Man Elected Governor
Jared Polisbecame the nation’s first openly gay man elected and Colorado’s first Jewish chief executive. The ceremony took place at the Capitol steps under banners that proclaimed Colorado for All,”
Polis started of his inaugural address saying “I must begin by saying I’m very conscious of the fact that there were many brave people over the years who made it possible for someone like me to be standing here giving a speech like this,”
