There are Sundays when you simply want to unwind, and then there are Sundays that transport you somewhere entirely different.
TheStyle.World team recently spent an afternoon at Conrad Bengaluru’s latest Brunchera edition, “Ming Era – Rise of the Emperor”, and what we expected to be a themed brunch quickly turned into an immersive experience that blended food, culture, entertainment, and a touch of fantasy.

The brunch is based on the greatness of the Chinese Ming Dynasty, which it does not reconstruct but imagines in its own way. Here the splendor of the ancient imperial era meets the contemporary culture of Asia with lots of energy and flair, accompanied by a delicious meal, designed to offer visitors a culinary journey through the entire continent.
When we walked into the venue, immediately there was a feeling of a grand occasion. The families had gathered around the nicely arranged tables; our friends decided to go for their second round at the buffet already; the air was charged with luxury and comfort that make Sunday mornings memorable.
And, obviously, our first step was straight for the kitchen.

One of the most intriguing dishes offered to us was the dim sum section where the bamboo steamers offered plenty of fresh snacks. Not far away from there, another popular dish was being prepared – the Silk Road Sliders. Soft bao buns filled with crispy chicken karaage and tender pulled lamb offered the kind of flavours that make you immediately reach for another serving.
However, on delving deeper into our dining experience, it quickly became apparent that the brunch buffet was essentially an exploration of Asia’s rich cuisine in a variety of flavors. There were Korean delicacies like the Bibimbap bowls and crispy fried chicken to choose from along with some other Indo-Chinese favorites that included hakka noodles, chicken manchurian, and chilli garlic fish. The best thing about this buffet is how accessible it is and how much it appeals to everyone, whether it’s the adventurous diner in you or just someone seeking some familiar comfort food.

One element we loved about this dining experience was how well-planned the experience is for families, with the Little Emperors Buffet being especially appealing for children.
No imperial feast would be complete without a fitting drinks menu, and Conrad Bengaluru certainly delivered. Inspired by oriental tea houses and royal courts, the cocktail selection was as visually appealing as it was flavourful. Watching drinks come alive at the live cocktail counter added another layer of theatre to the afternoon. Our favourites included floral, tea-infused creations that felt refreshing without overpowering the meal.
Then came dessert.

Just as we believed we could not have eaten any more, we were proven wrong. Black Sesame & Honey Pancakes and Matcha Chocolate Pancakes had just arrived, and how could anyone refuse such delicious, comforting delicacies presented so beautifully?
Ming Era, however, goes beyond just the variety of the food and themed decorations. What makes it unique and unforgettable is an overall atmosphere and experience, which can be hardly replicated elsewhere. In a city full of brunch culture, Conrad Bengaluru manages to bring something fresh, imaginative, and exciting, providing people with an opportunity to celebrate Sundays in a truly royal manner.
TheStyle.World team experienced first-hand that the Ming Era brunch by Brunchera is an event one should definitely consider on weekends. Whether it’s a family reunion, a friendly get-together, celebration of something special, or just the need to break free from the daily routine, this brunch is the perfect place to spend time.
Every Sunday, from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM, Ming Era – Rise of the Emperor brunch is organized at Caraway Kitchen, Conrad Bengaluru. Priced at INR 4,000 plus taxes per person, the experience is available for a limited period as part of Conrad Bengaluru’s evolving Brunchera series, making it one of the city’s most distinctive luxury brunch experiences this season.
Sometimes the best journeys don’t require a passport. This one simply requires a Sunday afternoon and an appetite.
This version flows naturally and reads like a premium lifestyle publication review rather than a hotel feature.
